Summer session 2024

WHEN: 10 week session Monday June 3rd- Thursday August 8th.  Classes will be Monday 3:15 pm, Wednesday 3:15pm, and Thursday 8:15 am. 

***You can do any number of days- just remember that the more consistent you are, the more benefit you will see from the program! 

WHO: Girls 13+ No prior lifting experience required.

Cost: Full summer $429 (a $750 value!) or 5 class punch cards for $125

***If you want to lift 2 or 3 days/week, paying for the full summer is more cost effective! Plus- anyone who pays for the summer session will get a t-shirt or tank top!  

Why should teen girls lift?

  1. Builds Strength: Duh! Weightlifting helps build muscle strength, which is essential for overall physical health, functionality, and performance.

  2. Increases Bone Density: Weightlifting has been shown to increase bone density, reducing the risk of bone injuries and osteoporosis later in life.

  3. Enhances Athletic Performance: Regardless of your sport, weightlifting will improve performance by increasing strength, power, and agility. Being stronger makes everything better!

  4. Promotes Confidence: Achieving strength and fitness goals through weightlifting boosts self-esteem and confidence.

  5. Teaches Discipline: Weightlifting requires consistency and dedication, helping teens develop discipline and goal-setting skills.

  6. Reduces Risk of Injury: Strengthening muscles and bones through weightlifting (with proper technique!) can reduce the risk of injury during physical activities and sports.

  7. Improves Mental Health: Regular exercise, including weightlifting, has been linked to improved mood and reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression.

  8. Empowers Independence: Learning proper lifting techniques and building strength empowers teens to take control of their own physical fitness and well-being.

  9. Fosters Social Connections: Participating in weightlifting classes or group workouts can provide opportunities for social interaction and support from peers who are likeminded.

FAQs

  • NO!!!! I love working with all athletes! I work hard to make this a well rounded strength program that will benefit all athletes! I also thinks it’s great to get multiple sports all mixed together!

    If you are a basketball player or wrestler check HERE for sport specific classes at the same facility.

  • The class is scheduled for 1 hour. It is great to get there 5-10 minutes early to get in any extra prehab you might need! We will occasionally run a few minutes over, but can always get them out right on time if needed!

  • I am working on an offering for a slightly younger age group, so stay tuned! I do allow 12 year olds to attend if they have already been a 1 on 1 client.

  • Something comfy that you can move in! Great to have shoe that are pretty stable and not too squishy.

  • I do not typically encourage single classes but it is possible to do that as needed or for a trial. Buy a single class HERE
